The process beginswith a hand-drawn axon drawing,follow by digital drawing and exploded axonometric drawing.
Later the study move on to the materialmodels, analysis,representation & transformation of thebuildings. The final project focuseson the modular studyand interrelationshipbetween the elements:columns, beams&facadedecorative beams. By changing the priorityof elements thusachieve the goal of deformation of thebuilding.
Building a module that distills the building into its most essential elements; Explore the new interrelationship between the elements by sliding partsalong their own axes, and thus reveal new spatial conditions; The Elevator core has to be kept as a void in the process of sliding andshifting since it provides a vertical movement for people, and connects floorsto floors.
What I discover
- Understanding the interrelationships between the elements, the priority orderof columns, structural beams, facade i beams. etc. Thus, when I slide oneelement in or out, other element will also have certain movement inresponding. No elements are isolated from any of the others.
- Understanding a directional growth of each elements. All elements are movingon their own axes. Where elements grows and intersects, a new joint forms,thus a new space is created. The new space follows the rules of the oldspace.This repetitive process is one of the characteristic of Seagram building.
